An area on the third floor of the LRC to be cordoned off for quiet study and the rest of it to be made available for collaborative work

Unfortunately we can not meet this request out of respect for students who use this floor (which is the second floor incidentally) for quiet study. There are already two floors available for collaborative study and more tables are now available on these floors.

There are spaces available in both LRCs for quiet and group study but it is accepted that at certain points of the day the centres are full.

More computers in the LRC (both campuses)

This is another popular request!

We have another 10 computers available in the LRC at Grove Park and we have just purchased 15 netbooks for use in the LRC at Bersham Road. In addition to this, we will be having some laptops for loan in the LRC after Easter.

We will not be able to increase our hard-wired computers very mcuh more due to lack of space but will continue to improve the situation as much as possible with wireless devices.

More tables needed in the LRC for private study

Following on from this request we have increased tables and seats by 10% on the Grove Park campus and aim to increase this to 20% by the end of the academic year. This request was made by a number of PT groups in this year's survey.
